Aquawatt
Founded in Austria in 1989 the company now manufactures a range of boats, electric inboards up to 50kW and batteries, along with control systems and all associated ancillaries.
Arens Motors
Based in Berlin, Arens Motors was founded in 1966 to design and build compact racing engines, and the company has since harnessed the ‘Boxer’ technology into a multi-fuel hybrid.
Bellmarine (Transfluid)
Founded in the Netherlands in 1999 and now part of the Italian OEM Transfluid, Bellmarine offers both inboard and outboard motors from 2kW-130kW.
Blue Nav
Based in Arachon, France, Blue Nav has created a range of ‘bolt on’ rim drive hybrids from 15kW-150kW in a three main designs to fit all types of boats.
Combi
Combi was founded in 1979 in the Dutch ‘Venice’ of Giethorn to originally supply electric rental boats, but now produces both inboard and outboard installations.
E’dyn
Short for Electric Dynamic Nautics, e’dyn is the electric propulsion division of Slovenia-based Podkriznik d.o.o. and offers both inboard and outboard motors.
eD-TEC
German-based company producing a drop-in 50-200kW modular inboard with a surface-piercing propeller. The company has also collaborated with another German specialist to produce dedicated, high-performance batteries.
Elco
Claimed to be the oldest marine electric motor company in the world, Elco was founded in 1863 in Chicago, USA, and produces a full range of inboards and hybrids up to 21.6kW.
Electric Yacht
A US-based supplier of electric ‘QuietTorque’ motors primarily for sailboats as the units have regeneration capacity. The support system is plug and play to aid DIY installation.
Electro-Mobile
Based in Sweden, Electro-Mobile is part of the Swedish transport sector but also produces 3 models of marine motor for the yachting market.
e-Motion
Based in Italy, e-Motion supplies standardised hybrid propulsion systems for retrofitting into all production vessels from 40-250ft.
Elva
Founded in the Netherlands in 1984 by Piet Bibo, Elva produces four pod drives for commercial and rental use, with powers up to 3.5kW.
e-Tech
A subsidiary of Poland-based custom yacht builder Star Boats, e-Tech manufactures inboards, outboards and electric pod drives up to 20kW.
Evoy
Established in Floro, Norway in 2018, Evoy designs and develops electric inboards for typically fast boats with power available of up to 450hp per motor.
Fischer Panda
Well known for their marine generators, Germany-based Fischer Panda has developed an ‘Easy Box’ inboard system with inboard motors of up to 100kW.
GreenStar Marine
Established in Sweden in the 1990s by specialist engineers, GreenStar provides complete motor packages with patented technology for regeneration under sail.
Huracan
Founded in Venice in 2012, Huracan builds the Argon and Thor range of outdrive and inboard units, running 220V and with power of up to 30kW.
Krautler
Founded in Austria, Krautler originally made industrial motors but moved into the electric boat market in the 80s with a range of pods and inboards and rotatable saildrives.
LGM
Originally standing for Leo Greentier Motors, a division of the Korean high-speed Leo Motors company, LGM changed its name to Electrine in 2020 to focus on marine propulsion.
Lynch
Founded in 1979 by Dr Cedric Lynch, who developed a highly efficient ‘pancake’ style motor, Lynch now offers 3 lines of electric inboards of up to 75hp.
Mitek
Founded in Italy and with more than 10 years of outboard production, Mitek manufactures electric In boards from 10kW to 85kW with a 170kW under development.
Molabo
Founded in 2016 and based in Germany, Molabo has developed a 50kW motor based on touch-safe 48V architecture with modular installation and full remote connectivity.

Navigaflex
A Swiss company with a patent pending for a new design of retractable inboard/outboard motor made with a minimum number of parts and powers of up to 15kW.
Oceanvolt
One of the early pioneers of electric boating, US-based Oceanvolt offers 5 models in two designs, AX and AX3 with outputs of up to 60hp.
Propel
Part of the Saietta Group, a UK engineering company which specialises in fully scalable powertrain solutions, Propel.me makes a 25hp outboard built
with a pancake motor.
Piktronik
An Austrian-Slovenian company involved in the development of components for electric propulsion, Pintronik offers 7 models of inboard motor from 10kW-180kW.
Retenav
Founded in Italy in 1968, Retenav manufactures equipment for commercial shipping. In 2008 it established the Auxilia brand to provide all-electric and hybrid solutions.
Tema
Based in Croatia, Tema manufacturers 5 models of electric motor for marine, industrial and power generation sectors. They can be purchased alone or as part of a system.
Thoosa
Originally Asmo Marine, and later Clean-e-marine in 2012, Thoosa was established in Denmark in 1998. The company manufactures the AC Triton design and DC Thoosa from 5kW-20kW.
Torqeedo
Austria-based manufacturer of electric outboards, inboards and pod motors founded by Dr Christoph Ballin and Dr Friedrich Bobel in 2004. Has been recently working with BMW.
Vetus
Based in the Netherlands, Vetus is a major OEM of marine equipment, including the E-Pod and E-Line propulsion packages of electric motors (inboard and pod) batteries and controllers.
Volvo Penta
Major Sweden-based corporation specialising in the marinization of Volvo engines for commercial and leisure applications and a major developer of electric propulsion systems.
Waterworld
An amalgamation of two Dutch specialists, DiStille Boot and Water World Electronics, the company offers proprietary systems and four distinct inboard motors of up to 15kW.
