Harbour Group has expanded its manufacturing and distribution capabilities with the acquisition of SHF, a supplier of stainless adaptors, fluid power fittings, instrumentation fittings and valves to a variety of industries, including marine, manufacturing, chemical, and oil and gas.
The Texas-based SHF has created a niche by stocking hard-to-find parts in metric and imperial sizes and manufacturing custom parts with short lead times.
SHF was founded in 2002 by Michael Chapman, who will remain with the company as president.
“Harbour Group is a great partner to take the business to the next level,” Chapman said in a statement issued by the company. “Harbour Group has a track record of building similar businesses and will be a powerful driver of success for our customers, employees and suppliers.”
Harbour Group, a privately-owned, operations-focused group of manufacturing and distribution companies based in St Louis, Missouri, serves a broad array of industries including condition monitoring devices, machine control solutions, wireless control solutions, fence and gate hardware systems, interior wallcoverings and fabrics, LED lighting, flow control, scientific products, thermal management solutions, boiler systems, professional diagnostic and repair tools, and auxiliary plastic processing equipment.
