US marina network operator buys second property in as many months
Safe Harbor Marinas’ acquisition streak hasn’t seemed to slow any, as the Dallas, Texas-based marina network operator added a second property in as many months to its portfolio.
Hideaway Bay Marina in Flowery Branch, Georgia, located 50 miles from Atlanta on Lake Lanier, becomes Safe Harbor’s 90th property in 20 states. Safe Harbor also owns the Aqualand Marina located 10 minutes away.
Safe Harbor Marinas has adopted an aggressive acquisition posture since partnering with Koch Real Estate Investments in July 2018. In October of that year, the company added five marina properties in Michigan and South Carolina.
In May 2019, Safe Harbor took possession of New England Boatworks, and just last month the Newport Shipyard, both in the state of Rhode Island.
Hideaway Bay Marina offers slips for boats from 20ft-45ft, as well as enclosed boat houses, and services up to 850 boats a year, according to a statement from the company.
