New company aims to address growing demand for marine technology services in the US
Two veteran marine technology providers from opposite ends of the US Atlantic coast have joined forces to establish a national sales & service brand under the umbrella Great Circle Group.
Florida-based Electronics Unlimited (EU) and Navtronics with multiple locations in the states of Massachusetts and Maine have partnered with technology entrepreneurs Damon Tassone and Michael Wexler to address the growing demand for knowledge and reliable marine tech services.
“We’re building the company we’ve always wanted to see in this space,” says Tim Greer, president of Navtronics and VP of Great Circle Group, in a news release announcing the launch. “With Great Circle we can now expand our premium marine technology services well beyond our New England roots, and become the employer of choice for marine technicians, offering unprecedented career opportunities and advancement paths.”

While each company will maintain its decades-old brand identities, the Great Circle banner will allow for strategic expansion and growth both organically and by adding other high-quality sales and service providers in different areas of the country.
“Great Circle represents a significant evolution in marine technology services,” says Ron Muller, president of Electronics Unlimited and VP of Great Circle Group. “By bringing together our deep industry knowledge with forward-thinking technology leadership, we’re creating a platform that will attract the best service providers throughout the country while elevating the entire customer experience.”
Wexler and Tassone – both long-term boaters – will serve as co-CEOs for Great Circle Group and see the rise in technology on board creating a need for expert service.
“We’re committed to a long-term vision of transforming this industry while maintaining the exceptional standards that EU and Navtronics are known for,” says Tassone. “Our emerging national footprint allows us to reimagine what’s possible in marine technology sales and services, setting new standards of excellence that benefit the entire ecosystem.”
Electronics Unlimited was founded in 1973 and has built a reputation in South Florida and the state’s Treasure Coast while Navtronics opened in 1992, serving boaters from Cape Cod to the Canadian border.
