New partnerships strengthen RIB builder’s presence in the Midwest and Northeast US

RIB manufacturer Highfield Boats has added two new dealers as the brand continues to develop its market footprint in the world’s single largest recreational boat market.

With two locations in Minnesota, dealer Erickson Marine adds the Highfield boat line in its 50th year of business.

“We are excited to have the full Highfield Boats line. We like the quality, and we think their new models, including the jet boats, will enhance our business,” says president and owner, Jon Erickson. “Our customers boat on lakes and rivers, and with Highfield bringing out bigger models, we think there is a growth potential for RIBs as primary boats as well as tenders.”

On the US Atlantic coast Highfield is now represented by Brielle, New Jersey-based dealership Hoffman’s Marina. Situated a half mile inside Manasquan Inlet with easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway, Hoffman’s is a leading boat dealer in the region.

“We’re very happy to welcome both Hoffman’s and Erikson into the Highfield USA family,” said Highfield Boats USA president, Christophe Lavigne. “These are strong, reputable dealerships that share our values of customer care and passion for the water. Their arrival strengthens our presence in two important regions: Minnesota represents the growth of our brand in the Midwest, a relatively new market for RIBs, while New Jersey reinforces our solid position in the Northeast – a region traditionally more familiar with RIB culture.”

Lavigne notes the boat builder will host its annual dealer conference from September 9-10 at its Cadillac, Michigan plant. He says the company is rapidly expanding its product line while enjoying a 31% domestic market share.
