Steinbarger, Ekern to assume newly created C-suite roles
MasterCraft Boat Holdings has announced a pair of executive appointments that will see two current vice presidents assume newly created C-suite positions.
MasterCraft vice president of strategy and business development George Steinbarger assumes new responsibilities as chief revenue officer. Steinbarger joined the company in May 2018 following several years in investment banking, responsible for advising companies on capital markets, M&A and debt financing transactions.
In his new capacity Steinbarger will focus on driving top-line growth across all company brands, with direct oversight of MasterCraft’s sales and marketing functions.
Former vice president of operations, Dave Ekern, also assumes new responsibilities as chief product officer. Ekern brings more than 20 years of product development experience in the marine and automotive industries to the new role, and is the holder of numerous marine patents.
In the newly created position Ekern will focus on centralising product development and engineering functions in order to accelerate product innovation cycles.
“Since joining MasterCraft, George and Dave have helped propel our success and position the company for the future,” said MasterCraft Boat Holdings Inc CEO and chairman, Fred Brightbill. “With our new leaders and key strategic initiatives in place, we believe MasterCraft will be a more competitive player and have significant opportunities to drive growth and capture a greater share of the recreational boating market.”
