Dave Goodman named CFO and board member Gary Smith assumes role of CEO
Hatteras/Cabo Yachts has announced two senior management appointments, as Dave Goodman has been named chief financial officer and board member Gary Smith assumes the role of CEO, succeeding Kelly Grindle.
Smith takes the company helm after serving on the Hatteras/Cabo board of directors, having most recently led a renewal and sale of fabric manufacturer Polartec, LLC, and having held the position of president of Timberland Outdoor Group. He was also a partner at McKiney & Co.
Goodman brings an array of experience to Hatteras, serving five years as CFO at Hinckley Yachts. Starting his professional career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, he also served as CFO of Christie’s International and VP of Sony Music Entertainment.

Grindle, who joined the company is 2017 when Versa Capital purchased Hatteras/Cabo from Brunswick Corp, recently resigned to pursue other opportunities, according to the statement.
