Outgoing president Thom Dammrich lauded at last week’s International Marina & Boatyard Conference in Florida
Outgoing National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) president Thom Dammrich was honoured during the opening ceremonies of last week’s International Marina & Boatyard Conference in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.
Dammrich was commended for “unifying the industry and elevating the status of marinas within the broader industry” during his 20-year tenure by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI).
“He carried the industries’ agenda, not just the agenda of the manufacturers,” said AMI president emeritus Jim Frye in Marina Dock Age. “Thom completely embraced the role that marinas play in hosting the boating experience, and marinas and boating access facilities became an important element of the NMMA advocacy agenda.”
AMI will be making a donation in Dammrich’s name to Folds of Honor, which provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members.
