Solar electric boat producer expands workforce

Lasai, the Spanish builder of solar electric boats, continues to grow its workforce with the appointment of Bartul Misura as commercial director for South East Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Misura is a professional sailor who spent two years as a dealer for Slovenia’s Elan Yachts. He then became commercial director at Sunseeker Yachts for South East Europe, later moving to Hanse Yachts where he was a sales representative for 13 years in South East Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Misura’s appointment follows that of Arnoud van Oudheusden, who joined Lasai at the beginning of the year as commercial director for Western Europe and the Nordic countries.

Misura is currently attending the Palma International Boat Show where the company is launching the new Lasai 22 GL. It was presented to the European public at boot Düsseldorf in January.

In Palma, visitors are able to test its performance on the water. The new boat is all about efficiency, with speeds of up to 15kt and the ability to sail for more than 100 miles at 6kt.
