Chris Byal will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s global footprint

Florida, US-based Teakdecking Systems (TDS) has named Chris Byal as its new product manager.

Chris Byal has 40 years’ experience in sales and product distribution

Byal has 40 years’ experience in sales and product distribution. Prior to joining TDS, he worked as a sales engineer for an upholstery manufacturer, before becoming general manager for a boat manufacturer.

Most notably, Byal spent the last 34 years as a manufacturers’ representative for marine accessories, where he formed strong relationships within the marine community.

“We are delighted to welcome Chris Byal to our team,” says TDS CEO Richard Strauss. “His extensive background and industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to grow and develop our products department.”

Byal will play a pivotal role in expanding TDS’ global footprint by identifying opportunities in new countries and territories. He will lead initiatives to establish  partnerships and distribution channels in emerging markets and will also spearhead the development of new products.

Teakdecking Systems is an employee-owned supplier of teak and composite decking systems with facilities in Florida and Spain. The company offers teak and composite decking, repair, and maintenance products such as caulk, epoxy, cleaners and adhesives, available through national and global distributors.
