Volvo Penta of the Americas has appointed Lars Ljungström as vice president of finance and chief financial officer with immediate effect.
Ljungström will provide strategic leadership over finance, planning, budgeting and reporting for North, South and Central America and the Caribbean. He will also oversee coordination of IT systems and services, as well as legal and sales operations.
Ljungström was previously CFO at GKN Aerospace Engine Systems, where he was responsible for finance and IT, internal control compliance activities and implementation of financial policies and procedures. He has also served as controller and held other positions within Volvo Penta and the Volvo Group.
“Lars is an engaged leader who is passionate about business, operations and process efficiency,” says Ron Huibers, president of Volvo Penta of the Americas. “In addition to his broad experience as a controller and CFO, he has managed both sales and operational entities, which will give him unique perspective as he assumes this new role as a key member of the Volvo Penta executive team.”
