Yachting writer, America’s Cup historian Fisher dies at 85

Champion sailor, America’s Cup historian and the world’s preeminent yachting writer, Bob Fisher, died of cancer Monday at the age of 85. The news was confirmed to the Associated Press by Fisher’s daughter, Alice Davis, who said he died at his home in Lymington, England.
