Owners of the affected models – some 80 boats – are advised to stop using the vessel immediately
Queensland, Australia-based Telwater has issued a recall on its Savage 645C, 655C and 655C hardtop models built between February 2012 and October 2016.
The recall notice states the bow section of the fibreglass hull may show signs of gelcoat crazing below the cabin area, which may weaken over time to a point where the fibreglass would crack, allowing water intrusion.
Owners of the affected models are advised to stop using the vessel immediately and have the boat assessed at a local Savage dealer.
A list of hull identification numbers of nearly 80 boats which may be affected is available on the Product Safety Australia and Telwater websites.
