Groups from a wide variety of industries are now active on legislation they would normally ignore

It is said that ‘a rising tide lifts all boats’ and that ‘politics makes strange bedfellows’, and the US recreational boating trade group NMMA is demonstrating some of both as it lobbies the US Congress in waters it might not normally tread.
