The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries division’s new dashboard that shows “high overall vessel compliance” with a mandatory 10kt North Atlantic right whale (NARW) vessel speed regulations is being directly challenged by a new report using similar data from one of the environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGO) that petitioned for additional protections, adding confusion to an already confusing situation.
