New facility in Westbrook, Connecticut to serve as US headquarters and shipping hub

Scanstrut, the UK-based outdoor technologies company, has opened a distribution centre in the US and named Chris Beaudry as vice president/general manager.

Located in Westbrook, Connecticut, the facility will serve as its US headquarters and shipping hub to increase shipping speed, efficiency and maximise customer support, according to a company news release.

Beaudry, who has worked with the company for the past nine years, has over 20 years of marine and logistics experience. “I have worked with the team for the past nine years in addition to having long-standing relationships with many of our existing dealers and distributors,” Beaudry said in the release.

According to Scanstrut CEO Tom Reed: “This is an exciting next step in our company’s history and I’m looking forward to providing market-leading customer support and service whilst bringing award-winning outdoor technology products to the US market.”

Founded in 1986 by aeronautical engineer Trevor Reed, Scanstrut designs and manufactures installation solutions for marine electronics.
