US President Joe Biden this week signed a series of executive orders aimed at the environment and climate change, from pausing new oil and gas leases on Federal land to electrifying all government-owned vehicles, which he positioned as much about jobs as the environment. These actions follow Biden’s first-day move of rejoining the Paris climate accord and directing federal agencies under his control to look at their work through an environmental lens.
