UIM introduces electric powerboat racing

The Union Internationale Motornautique (UIM), the international governing body of powerboating based in the Principality of Monaco, has announced the introduction of the first electric powerboat championship with plans for a global series that is hoped to promote and expand the use of electric propulsion in boats.
