The VC30 simplifies engine control and docking into one integrated digital system

When it comes to installation, all of the VC30’s connections run on one Processor, meaning fewer wires to deal with and cabling that’s thin and easy to manipulate.

The overall result is quicker, cheaper and easier installation with less labour input required. It also makes work a lot easier when connecting the VC30 with other onboard equipment, such as chart plotters and Multi Function Displays. 

And it’s the multihull and charter markets that are now benefiting most from this innovative and simple to use control system, as its design enables more steering positions to be sited onboard while offering those helming the craft a highly satisfying and precise vessel control experience. 

Designed to simplify engine control, engine monitoring and docking in one integrated system, YANMAR’s VC30 control system is enhanced by a high-quality display and modern design. It includes a larger, 4.3” 1000cd optically bonded screen, to reduce reflection and improve readability, especially in direct sunlight, with NMEA2000 output. The display unit has an auto dimming function for dark conditions at night, always ensuring effective lighting and a better boat operating experience. 

Both the control heads and switch panels have been enhanced with a new design to maintain a unified look and feel across all elements of the controls, with improved water resistance and natural feel push buttons. 

With fewer components and the need for only one Processor, installation is quicker than previous editions, and the system is easier to maintain with improved GUI for easier configuration and control. 

The VC30 also offers dedicated joystick controls, compatible with proportional bow thrusters from sister company, VETUS and other industry leading suppliers for simplified docking and better manoeuvring in tight waterways. This joystick control function is available for both sterndrive and inboard applications. 

It has been developed for single, twin, and triple engines and is compatible with YANMAR’s HVO-approved common rail engines, from its JH-CR series (from 40mhp) through to the 6LT series (up to 640mhp). This makes the VC30 suitable for a wide variety of vessel types and sizes. It is especially effective for sailing yachts up to 75ft, motorboats up to 60ft, and sailing multihulls.
