The first model from Riva’s Superyacht Division, the 50m Race, had its world premiere in Venice on the weekend.

On Saturday, June 15, boat owners from around the world gathered in the Arsenale for dinner and a gala reception, culminating in the unveiling of the flagship 50m yacht in the Venetian lagoon.

“The largest Riva, the dream of Carlo Riva that came true, a boat of immense beauty, could only make its debut at the Arsenale, which has been for centuries the largest naval factory in the world,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. “The dreams, the skill and the talent that inhabited this space are the same ones that have animated the Riva myth in 177 years of history, up to the birth of this incredible megayacht.

The latest Riva combines the ‘Made in Italy’ aesthetic with the unmistakable personality of the brand: the wider volumes of the hull are combined with a clean and elegant profile.

The 50m Riva is the result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, who exclusively design the entire Riva range, and the engineering team dedicated to designing the new Riva superyachts with the Ferretti Group Product Strategic Committee.

The 50m Riva will next appear at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show in September.
