New models getting longer, wider and less expensive

The founders of XO Boats Oy - Sakari Mattila and Erkki Talvela - have returned to work for the brand and have immediately accelerated product development. The duo has introduced a new model for the production of several different boats around a single hull.

Mattila is the founder of Axopar boats and is also one of the men behind Aquador and Paragon Yachts brands. According to the duo, the new design philosophy will revolutionise the market for aluminium boats and enable the construction of a competitively priced range.

The first of new boat model range on the market is the XO 260 Cabin, designed for rough sea conditions and also suitable for commuting. There are three different models designed around a 26-foot hull: Cabin, T-top and the new DFNDR.

The smallest boat in XO Boats’ new boat model range is now two feet longer than its predecessor, but at the same time its price had dropped significantly in relation to the boat’s length: the approx. price of the 8.1m long 260 Cabin with the 225hp Mercury engine starts at €68,000(ex factory, VAT).

XO Boats has an ambitious goal to expand globally. With the renewed model range, boats will get wider compared to previous models too. A widened beam provides more stability for driving and extra interior volume.
