Dutch boatbuilder Breedendam is soon to launch MTB fourzero Wheelhouse, its new flagship model. The 13m yacht is constructed entirely in aluminium and incorporates a number of high-tech features, the company says.

Dutch boatbuilder Breedendam Yachts has announced that work is proceeding apace on the MTB fourzero Wheelhouse. The yacht is currently under construction in the Netherlands.

This 13.3m model is the Dutch yard’s flagship project. The boatbuilder says it marries high technology and interiors with a design by Guido de Groot.

Constructed entirely in aluminium, this recently introduced classic model incorporates a number of high-tech features.

The hull has now been painted in a blue colour scheme and the wooden elements have been finalised.

Wiring and technical components will soon be fitted as the installation of the various systems gathers pace.

Owner requests

The yacht will include the very latest technologies, including several components requested specially by the owner.

Some of the features are a wide array of diving equipment and a hydraulic swimming ladder and gangway.

Twin Volvo IPS600 engines will provide a head-turning maximum speed of 35 knots, the boatbuilder claims.

The first MTB fourzero Wheelhouse will be equipped for both warm and cold conditions, reflecting the owner’s intention to use her in climates as diverse as the Netherlands and the Caribbean.

A retractable keel will allow sailing in the Dutch Wadden Islands and other shallow regions.
