Sino Eagle Yacht Co in Fuyang City, China, has announced the launch of the Aquila 38 Power Catamaran for US charter firm MarineMax Vacations.
The customised yacht, also known as the MarineMax 382, is the result of a collaboration between Chinese yacht-builder Sino Eagle, US naval architects Morrelli & Melvin and MarineMax Vacations.
The first hull is being delivered to MarineMax's charter base at Hodges Creek Marina in the British Virgin Islands in June.
“We are extremely pleased with the Aquila 38,” says Paul Zhao, CEO of Sino Eagle Yacht Co. “This yacht is exceptionally efficient and delivers a very smooth ride with incredible living comfort.
“In addition to the first hull delivery, we are working diligently to deliver the additional units already ordered by MarineMax Vacations. We are also working on a larger sister ship, the Aquila 46, to be launched later this year.”
Raul Bermudez, VP of sales and marketing at MarineMax Vacations, says: “We are very excited about taking delivery of the Aquila 38, which will be called the MarineMax 382 in our charter fleet. Her modern look, onboard comfort and features will provide our charter guests with the best experience available for private charter.”
MarineMax launched its new charter division, MarineMax Vacations, in 2011.
