Danish marine industry association Danboat has rejoined the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) as a full member following a six-month absence.
After the demise of the association in 2011, Danboat reformed in November 2011 under the leadership of new chairman Jan Hansen.
“The goal was to recruit 40 members in the new year,” he says. “However, during the founding meeting, 44 companies joined immediately and there were several positive responses from businesses, who unfortunately could not be present that day.”
Danboat’s membership now exceeds 50, including boatbuilders, shipyards, designers, manufacturers, importers, exporters and wholesalers.
The return of Danboat brings the number of full ICOMIA members to 34.
