Phil Whitehurst, CEO of UK-based marine electronics brand Actisense, is to sit on a panel of chief executives at the National Marine Electronic Association (NMEA) International Conference & Expo in the US next week.
Whitehurst will answer questions and discuss key issues facing the industry on September 26 at the Hilton Bellevue Hotel in Seattle, Washington. The panel will sit from 12:15-13:30.
“I look forward to answering questions posed by thriving marine electronics companies from the US and across the world,” says Whitehurst. “I believe we can get to grips with some of the issues impacting our industry and continue to develop exciting products that solve real problems.”
Whitehurst founded Active Research Ltd, the company behind the Actisense brand, in 1997. Since then, the company has grown from a small, home operation to one with an 8,000sq ft facility in Poole, Dorset. Actisense now exports specialist leisure and commercial marine electronics to over 40 countries worldwide.
The NMEA International Conference & Expo, which runs from September 26-28, is an opportunity for those involved in the design, development and installation of on-board electronics to meet with representatives from the North American marine electronics industry and beyond.
During the event, Whitehurst will also host a special Actisense manufacturer training session, showcasing some of the company’s latest products.
