Actisense, the UK-based marine electronics brand from Active Research Ltd, has announced that the first product in its new PRO range has reached 100 shipments worldwide.
Launched at the Seawork exhibition in June, the PRO-BUF-1 is an NMEA 0183 buffer designed specifically for larger vessels and commercial shipping. It enables electronic onboard devices to communicate with each other.
The company achieved its first 100 shipments in just two weeks since the product arrived on the market, and is now being exported to the US, Spain, Holland, Sweden and Australia.
“The Actisense team are delighted to have achieved our first hundred shipments in such a short period of time,” says CEO Phil Whitehurst. “The popularity of the PRO-BUF-1 is extremely promising for the rest of the PRO range which is currently in development.”
Based in Poole, Dorset, Actisense has been creating intelligent marine electronic products since the company was founded by Phil Whitehurst in 1997. Its products are marketed in over 40 countries.
