SCIGRIP, a global supplier of smarter adhesive solutions, is reporting a strong start to 2017. Following a number of successful trials in boatyards across Europe, the company has secured a significant number of high volume orders with leading sail, power and leisure boat manufacturers.
“SCIGRIP has seen a noticeable increase in business within the marine industry across the European market, resulting in a 30% rise in order intake,” says Tim Johnson, European sales and marketing manager.
“The most exciting factor of this uplift is that it seems to be spread across both composite bonding applications, for which SG230HV is renowned for, and metal bonding applications with SG300. This demonstrates further that SCIGRIP has a great structural adhesive solution for the boat building industry.”
Headquartered in the UK, the company says the increase in orders is partly due to the growing popularity of its methacrylate (MMA) adhesive systems and the ability to produce and dispense the products rapidly in bulk quantities.
Following their acquisition of Arjay Technologies Incorporated in 2016, SCIGRIP says it is now able to supply an extensive range of performance bonding compounds for the composites industry that offer strong and supremely versatile assembly solutions.
