Swiss-based Adler Yacht, a new yacht-building company that has links to the automotive, aviation and marine sectors, has appointed Philipp Pototschnik to the role of sales and marketing manager. The appointment comes in the run-up to the boat show season and not long after the company launched its first ever model, the Adler Suprema, at the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

Raised in Austria and Italy, Pototschnik is proficient in six languages – German, Italian, English, Spanish, French and Russian. His cultural background is perfectly suited to Adler Yacht, a Swiss brand that builds yachts at Cantieri Alto Adriatico in Monfalcone near Trieste, Italy.

Pototschnik’s professional experience in sales and marketing is particularly well attuned to digital strategies and social media, says the company. He has previously worked in the web marketing and development, renewable energy, health and luxury sectors.

The 23m Adler Suprema is said to be the first full-carbon motoryacht in its category and is equipped with hybrid propulsion.
