At a press conference yesterday at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), the Ferretti Group announced that Allied Marine had restructured and would now serve as an exclusive dealer for the Ferretti brands along the East Coast of the US as well as a dealer for CRN and Custom Line.

The restructuring involves Allied forming its own board of directors, consisting of Allied president Jon Burkard, chief sales and marketing officer Justin Blue and chief financial oficer Simone Meletti. It also involves a rebranding effort for Allied. The company has sold 10,000 yachts valued at US$5bn during its 70-year history.

“The best way to manage this company is by being a separate dealer,” said Burkard during the press conference. “Allied Marine is the largest dealer in the world for the Ferretti Group, with seven locations on the East coast. We’re looking at more going forward.”

Blue said the division had “fallen off the map a bit” in terms of charter and brokerage sales with its emphasis on new-boat sales, but he said they plan to come back to the “number one spot.” They said the new logo and branding would assist with growth of its existing markets and growth of its superyacht division. “The idea is to carry on the heritage but also make it feel like a modern-day company,” said Blue.
