Bachmann Group has announced that Olivia Jackson has joined its Yachts team. She will be working as a yacht crew and management recruitment specialist. She will be based at Bachmann’s Lee-on-Solent office, in the UK.
Prior to joining Bachmann, Jackson worked for several years on a number of yachts ranging from 20m to 50m, most recently on the 48m motoryacht Rola, where she served as chief stewardess.
Built by ISA Yachts in Italy in 2006, Rola underwent an extensive interior refit over a period of seven months, which was completed in the spring of 2015 ready for a busy charter season.
Jackson says that joining the yacht during this intensive period of activity was a valuable exercise, which enabled her to hone her interpersonal skills, getting to know every aspect of the yacht, its operational features, and how to interact productively with a large crew.
She became responsible for organising and liaising with the designers and contractors during the refit, which involved the interior being completely stripped and rebuilt with a totally new design.According to Nick Saul, the group CEO, Bachmann Yachts is now managing a portfolio of over 60 yachts, with plans to double that number in the coming period.
Commenting on the new recruit, Saul says: “It is in these rapidly growing crew welfare and recruitment areas of the business where Olivia’s knowledge, experience and friendly attitude will be immediately evident to our clients and contacts.”
