Mourjan Marinas IGY, a Dubai-based marina operator, has appointed Margarete Kalinowski as head of sales and marketing at Port Tarraco Marina in northeastern Spain.

Kalinowski joins the company with 13 years' experience in international business and strategy, and sales and marketing. She has a YachtMaster qualification and is fluent in six languages, having worked in Europe, China, the Middle East and India.

In her new role, Kalinowski will be responsible for all aspects of international sales and marketing, including strategies for marina berth sales and the marina’s related property, maximising the marina’s growth and development.

Wayne Shepherd, general manager marina operations of Mourjan Marinas IGY, says: “Margarete’s profound tacit knowledge of a myriad of countries’ cultural, economic and political backgrounds, combined with her high-energy approach and passion for yachting makes her the perfect candidate for this key post."

Port Tarraco provides a total of 64 berths for yachts ranging 30m-160m (98ft-524.9ft). The marina is located on the doorstep of the city of Tarragona, Spain.
