Swedish sailboat producer Arcona Yachts is moving to a new production facility in Uddevalla, an hour north of Gothenburg.

The yard will continue to work closely with Magnus Larsson, formerly of Nord West Yachts and Najad. Larsson’s new company Sail Yard built the Arcona 430 and 465 Carbon models in Kungshamn on the Swedish  west coast.

According to Arcona, the joint relocation will provide a rationalised, more customer-oriented production of high-quality performance cruisers.

Arcona will also establish a sales office and will display boats on a new jetty, with an increased focus on newer high-quality models and used yachts.

Olympic sailor Magnus Lundgren will be responsible for the office in Uddevalla.

Folllowing the relocation, Arcona subsidiary Kungshamns Marin Interior AB will pass into new ownership, continuing its close cooperation with Arcona Yachts.
