Arctic Steel, an Australian manufacturer of stainless steel seawater strainers, has been sold to Dixon Valve and Coupling Company (DVCC) for an undisclosed sum.
DVCC is a family owned, private business headquartered in Maryland in the US. The company manufactures flow control products and has been in business for over 100 years, servicing the marine, energy, mining, purity, steel and fire protection markets.
Arctic Steel director Peter Crossley will continue to work with Dixon in a full-time business development capacity, with a focus on their marine segment.
According to a company statement, the Arctic Steel brand will continue to grow and expand under Dixon across global markets with a worldwide distribution footprint, enabling existing and new customers access to increased stock levels and a larger range of quality marine products.
Arctic Steel will continue to be available through their distributor network. In Australia, Asia and Pacific region, products will be sold through Dixon (Asia Pacific) Pty Ltd.
Throughout North America and the EMEA, Arctic Steel will be sold by Hydrasearch Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of DVCC.
