As part of a new year-long YachtMaster project, Azimut Benetti held its first YachtMaster Asia event at the Kee Club in Hong Kong from November 17-18.

The YachtMaster event brought captains and industry professionals together for two days of workshops and training sessions on professionally relevant topics. The European event has been running for 15 years, and was initiated to aid the success of Azimut Benetti yachts during all phases of the yacht’s lifecycle.

“After the great success of Yacht Master in Europe and the US, last November we were in Hong Kong to welcome the first edition of Yacht Master Asia,” says Natalie Ye, marketing manger for Benetti Asia and the local event organiser.

“The two-day event took place on the first day at Kee Club the exclusive membership club in the heart of the town. That was followed with a fine dining experience at Carbone, an Italian restaurant in the famous LKF. The second day, entertaining team-building activities were conducted at the Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club.”

The YachtMaster series is now composed of three major events that aim to extend the presence to a global scale, covering 12 months per year, with local meetings in Asia (2015) and the US (2016) in addition to the main European Azimut Benetti Yacht Master event from February 3-6, 2016.

Minor events will be held off-season from September to May. Along with that, technical sessions and social events at the yard will be promoted to ensure continuity.
