German sail and motorboat builder Bavaria Yachtbau today announced that the integration of Nautitech Catamarans into the group was completed at the start of the 2016/17 fiscal year.
Bavaria acquired the French catamaran builder back in 2014.
As planned, Nautitech founder Bruno Voisard handed over the leadership of the multihull yard to Bavaria management.
In a joint statement, both parties expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation that took place during the purchase and handover process. Bavaria CEO Lutz Henkel thanked Voisard personally for his contribution to the Nautitech brand over the past 15 years.
Bavaria acquired the Rochefort, France-based multihull yard in September 2014 and has since advanced production, supported the development of new models, and expanded the dealer and service network.
Bavaria Catamarans’ new Nautitech 46 Fly will have its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Along with the Nautitech 40 Open, the order numbers for the Nautitech 46 Open and Fly are said to be at maximum capacity.
The interior of the Nautitech 40 and Nautitech 46 are already being built in Bavaria’s main factory in Giebelstadt, near Würzburg in Germany. Further expansion of production at Rochefort is planned for the coming year, says Bavaria.
