Beneteau America has created a single organisation to handle distribution in North and South America. The company has appointed Bruno Gouezigoux to oversee the operations. He will report to Laurent Fabre, president of Beneteau America, in Annapolis, Maryland.
“Joining forces in the Americas makes a lot of sense. From a product standpoint, these markets share very specific needs,” said Fabre in a statement. “As the economies of South American countries continue to grow, so does the domestic demand for Beneteau sailboats and powerboats. Sharing our resources efficiently to support our dealers is all the more critical.”
Fabre said many of its suppliers, including Volvo and Navico, have adopted a similar structure. The company said it has also appointed four new dealers in Central and South America. They include: Italia Motor and Marina of Guatemala City, Guatemala; Costa Rica Yacht Sales of Quepos; Andromeda Yachts of Panama City for the distribution of both sailboats and powerboats in Panama; and Figure de Proue of Cartagena, Colombia for the distribution of powerboats in Colombia.
