Peter Mahony, a UK executive with a strong yachting track record in Asia, has been appointed to the position of Benetti general manager for Asia.

Mahony will be directly managing sales throughout the region; responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction levels and heading up after sales and marketing development to reinforce and build the group's presence across APAC.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in marketing and sales throughout Europe and in Asia. Most recently he has worked with Princess Yachts and Sunseeker in the UK and Asia. From 2009-2013 he was involved with the Princess Yachts ’M’ Class programme in Plymouth followed by being GM of Princess Yachts South East Asia up to 2015. Over the past two years he has been working with Sunseeker Yachts Singapore.

With a solid background in mechanical engineering, Mahony started his career in yacht manufacturing and sales with the UK’s largest boat builder, where he excelled to become sales director for their largest retail distributor. In 2008 he moved and took the lead role in the launch and ongoing sales of the Princess M class range and in 2013 he moved to work in Asia.
