As of the end of 2017 the Broom Marine Group has closed its brokerage division. This action is being taken following the establishment of a new management team last summer. This new team initiated a full strategic review of the business and the closure results from this plus the retirement of Paul Pardon, the Boat Sales Executive.

In a statement Marketing & Communications Manager, Jenny Simpson said: “When Paul Pardon expressed his desire to retire at the end of the year it brought into focus how much we relied on him and his knowledge of the second-hand boat market and also how time consuming it can be to value, list, market and facilitate viewings with prospective customers.”

“It takes not only an experienced broker with a good knowledge of market value, but someone familiar with the range of Broom models, which given our time boatbuilding, is a lot of boats,” she added.

Broom Marine Services offer marine engineering, servicing and repair. As part of Broom Boats, established in 1898, it serves a strong client base of both new and returning customers.
