Brunswick Corp has “realigned” its Boat Group management structure. The company said in a statement that Tim Schiek, president of the Recreational Boat Group, and Scott Kent, chief financial officer of the Recreational Boat Group, would be leaving the company. The Recreational Boat Group manufactures and markets the Bayliner and Sea Ray brands. Neither positions will be replaced.
As part of the realignment structure, Brad Anderson was appointed president and general manager of Sea Ray Sport Boat and Cruisers, while Scott Ward was appointed was appointed president and general manager of Sea Ray Sport Yachts and Yachts.
Huw Bower, Brunswick Boat Group president, said in a statement that the executive changes would “create clearer accountability” to “drive business performance” and deliver growth. "Brad and Scott will continue to operate following their current charters: to continue to build upon momentum in the sport boat and cruiser categories, and to improve performance in our yacht business," Bower said in the statement.
The new structure, Bower added, will "deliver sharper focus on the performance of these core brands, drive efficiency across the Recreational Boat Group and further emphasize growth drivers within the Boat Group's portfolio of 16 brands."
