Sweden-based Marinediesel AB has sold the production of its VGT series marine engines to Bukh A/S for an undisclosed sum. Bukh will take over the production, sales and support of the GM-based V8 Diesel from its facilities in Krusaa, Denmark.

According to a company statement, the acquisition strengthens Bukh’s position, expertise and competitiveness in the marine segment, where Bukh has been represented for more than 110 years.

Bukh has taken over all of Marinediesel AB's assets relating to the VGT marine engines, and from this date all marine activities from Marinediesel AB are being executed by Bukh. The transition of the assets started at the takeover date of 16 April 2018. From this date all inquiries, support, spare parts and engine sales are handled by Bukh A/S. This includes stock items and production.

Bukh’s staff has several years of experience with the VGT range, and its sales team is ready to support the Marinediesel AB customers, OEM and distributors.

During the transition period, assets from Marinediesel AB will move from Ängelholm, Sweden, to the Bukh factory in Krusaa, Denmark.
