Canadian powerboat and rowboat manufacturer Rossiter Boats has announced that it is to resume manufacturing operations later this month under new ownership.
The company expects to be back up to full capacity at its 92,000sq ft manufacturing facility in Markdale, Ontario by year end.
Established by George Rossiter in 1974, Rossiter manufactured a range of fibreglass powerboats and rowboats for a network of dealers located throughout eastern North America. The company filed for bankruptcy protection in June, reporting total liabilities of C$2.3m against inventory orders of C$1.9m.
According to a company statement, the new owner has engaged former president Scott Hanson to return to the helm of the operation.
Rossiter now has a strong capital base to maintain its commitment to product development, quality, performance, customer service, and appreciation for the importance of its 26 retail partnerships/dealers and their customers.
Rossiter also says it will honour its Limited Lifetime Warranty provided to its customers since 2010.
