The organisers of the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (CIBS) today announced that 30,448 buyers from 73 regions and countries such as Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand attended CIBS 2017 in April. The four-day event was held this year in a new venue – the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
"CIBS 2017 was an unparalleled success both for our exhibitors and their customers," says Helena Gao, director of UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition, in a statement. "There is simply no other boating show in the region like it that offers the same exclusive and wide-reaching business opportunities and exposure to new product launches.
“Around 500 international companies attended this year to showcase their products to marine leisure enthusiasts from over 20 countries,” she adds. “The move to a bigger and more easily accessible venue ensured our exhibitors received the maximum ROI.”
UBM Sinoexpo has also confirmed that internationally renowned brands like Beneteau, Omnia, Mercury, Silver Marine, Custom Line, Suzuki, Yamaha, Parsun, DHS, Fareast and Techtronic will be attending next year’s event.
Around 40,000 people are expected to attend CIBS 2018, which will run alongside the 6th Travel & Leisure Expo, the China (Shanghai) RV Camping & Leisure Sports Industry Expo, Expo Life Style 2018 and the Shanghai International Workboat Show 2018.
The shows will also feature more boats, equipment and accessories, customised tours, watersports, Lure fishing, as well as the latest models in recreational vehicles, mobile homes, travel trailers, camping supplies and accessories.
The 23rd edition of CIBS will be held from April 26-29, 2018.
