ICOMIA, the International Council of Marine Industry Associations, has announced that Denmark's Ship and Boat Builders' Association (SBBA) has replaced Danboat as its 36th member.
Danboat ceased to operate in September 2017 and all assets have been transferred to SBBA. The name ‘Danboat’ will continue under SBBA as a working group, says ICOMIA, to coordinate the marketing of boating exhibitions in Denmark.
The SBBA comprises 86 member companies from within the Danish pleasure boat business and maritime trade. Members include pleasure, fishing and industrial boat builders as well as sailmakers, repair facilities, marina operators, brokers, equipment manufacturers and wholesale and service facilities.
To meet the requirements of full membership in ICOMIA, applicants must be a national marine industry association and legally incorporated. After meeting the criteria, SBBA replaced Danboat as its 36th member.
ICOMIA is an international trade association representing the global marine industry since 1966. It brings together national boating federations and represents them at an international level, presenting a strong and united voice.
