Dutch Carbon Yachts of the Netherlands has signed its first agency contract with Composite Sailing, a new company owned and operated by Jean Marie Vidal of Switzerland. Based in Villefrance sur Mer in France, Composite Sailing will be responsible for handling the group's sales activities in the Mediterranean region, where it also serves as a representative for Finland's Baltic Yachts.
According to a Dutch Carbon press release, hull number 2 of the new D-Carbon 36, a 10.9m (36ft) all-carbon racer-cruiser, is proving its 'ease of planning' by winning regattas in the Triest area recently. Designed by Andrej Justin, the Dutch naval architect responsible for the design of triple America's Cup winner Russell Coutts' yachts, the D-Carbon 36 is designed for easy solo sailing and is priced at just 196,000, ex-VAT.
