Isle of Man-headquartered Equiom Group has expanded its yachting team with the appointment of Geoff McCumesky as a yachting consultant.
McCumesky joins the group’s yachting team and is based in Equiom’s UK office. His position is a new role created to meet the growing demands of Equiom’s multi-jurisdictional yachting and crewing services. The appointment comes as the Equiom yachting team gears up for a busy yachting season between now and the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
The expertise that McCumesky brings to Equoim is based on his near 15 years of service with Burgess Yachts where he acted as chief yacht accountant, managing a portfolio of over 75 superyachts.
Richard Tribe, Equiom’s head of business development-Europe, says: “It’s fantastic to have someone of Geoff’s calibre join the team as we continue to experience significant growth and with his guidance, we’re predicting a very busy season. His focus will be business development for the yachting and crewing side of the business, as well as ensuring we have the best resources in place to deliver the superior service our clients expect.”
McCumesky comments: “I am thrilled to be joining a company I have respected from afar for a number of years. More recently, I carried out some consultancy work for Equiom around their strategy and it’s fantastic to become a full-time member of the team and join them on their journey to success.”
Equiom has had a dedicated yachting team for more than 10 years, having grown from a single specialist to a 30-strong team worldwide. In 2017, its yachting and aviation business reached a key milestone of $4bn in assets under administration.
