Fox’s Marina in the UK has appointed Will Taylor-Jones as managing director of the company’s boatyard and marina business in Ipswich, Suffolk.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the marine industry, Taylor-Jones has hands-on practical boatbuilding knowledge of both modern and traditional yachts up to 30m (100ft) in length. He is also an accomplished sailor, having competed in Sydney Hobart races and claimed victories in the Round Britain and Fastnet races.

Taylor-Jones joins the company from Oyster Yachts, where he worked in commissioning, aftersales and customer care operations. He also developed Oyster’s central quality and technical department in a role that spanned over 15 years.

“I have known Will for many years and I’m confident that with his experience and background of quality management we will attract refit and repair business, not just from the East Coast but from much further afield," says Richard Matthews, chairman of Fox's Marina and Boatyard.

Fox’s boat yard offers yacht refit and repair services for leisure and commercial craft from its base on Britain’s east coast. The company also has a chandlery with 13,000sq ft of retail space and a small marina with 100 pontoon berths and storage ashore for 300 vessels.
