A Texas man who ran amok in a Seattle-area marina, naked from the waist down, said he was a CIA agent trying to escape from a female ninja. Michael Bray has been charged by authorities with causing nearly US$500,000 of damage to boats and docks.

According to court documents, Bray boarded a 42ft motorboat in the middle of the night and began to ram other boats. He later told police that he was trying to escape from an “Asian female ninja”.

As Bray slammed against nearby boats, liveaboard boaters in the marina shouted at him to stop. A man on shore hit Bray with birdshot, causing him to flee. Police later found him straddling the stern of the boat without pants.

The boats caught in the rampage were considered a total loss, estimated at US$483,000, by authorities. Bray was charged with theft and malicious mischief.

In documents filed last week, King County prosecutors say the Texas man admitted to police that he had consumed alcohol, ecstasy, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms before the incident in Portage Bay.
