Halyard, European manufacturer of exhaust systems, has announced the appointment of two new members of staff, to support the brand’s sales and design teams. Since March 2011, Halyard has employed a total of six new members of staff across its three manufacturing sites based in Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Salisbury, UK, following what it says has been significant growth in export orders in both the commercial and superyacht sectors.

Emma Bradley joins Halyard from Finning – the UK’s largest Caterpiller dealer, where she worked as a Project Engineer. Previous to this, she completed an intensive four year apprenticeship scheme with BP, which gained her a National Diploma in Marine Engineering. Emma also served five years at sea in BP tankers and cruise liners. In her new capacity as Halyard’s Technical Sales Support Manager, she will be providing ongoing technical assistance and support to Halyard’s customer base.

Having recently moved to the UK, New Zealand born Jeremy Tyson joins Halyard as a design draftsman, where he will be an integral member of the design team, responsible for creating designs and drawings for all of Halyard’s projects, whilst implementing his extensive knowledge of design software and processes. He has worked for a number of marine company’s including Formula Cruisers and Niad RIBS.

Halyard employs over 70 people on the south coast and claims to be the only company in the world to design and manufacture its exhaust silencer systems completely in house.
