IMTRA, a US manufacturer and importer of marine products, has hired and promoted new staff on its support team. Staff changes include the hiring of Steve Owens, Myles Cunningham and Tom Ladue, as well as the promotion of Jamie Simmons and Conrad Taylor.
Owens, an industry veteran, has taken on the role of product technical support specialist. Simmons has been promoted to Zipwake product manager. Taylor is taking on a new role at IMTRA as e-commerce sales manager.
With the newer and more sophisticated equipment that IMTRA offers such as stabilizers, hydraulic systems, large yacht thrusters, gangways and custom equipment, Owens joins the team as a field technician tasked with supporting IMTRA products throughout the US. Most recently, he worked with ABT-TRAC’s service team and before that he operated a Florida-based, Side-Power thruster and stabiliser installation company, US Thrusters. Owens is based in South Florida.
Simmons started with IMTRA in 2014 as a member of the customer service team. When IMTRA brought on the Zipwake dynamic trim control system in early 2017, Simmons was appointed product manager for this growing product line.
Taylor started with IMTRA in 2016, also as a member of the customer service team. In addition to assisting IMTRA trade customers with their online product mix and presentation guidance, Taylor also plays an integral role in IMTRA’s own customer-facing digital presence.
Replacing Simmons and Taylor on the customer service team are Myles Cunningham and Tom Ladue. Both Cunningham and Ladue are lifelong boaters and together have more than 40 years of marine trade experience.
Based in New Bedford, Massachusetts, IMTRA imports and manufactures marine and industrial products, advanced LED solutions and integrated marine systems, and is a key supplier to the OEM and aftermarket.
In addition to their own proprietary products, the company represents brands such as Side-Power, Lumishore, Lofrans, Muir, Exalto and more.
