Jotun Australia, the local subsidiary of the Norwegian paints and coatings group, is now marketing its yacht products range to the Australian yacht and superyacht industry. Australia will be used as a hub for expanding its regional yacht products, with distribution taking in New Zealand, the South Pacific and Asian markets.
Jotun has been supplying antifouling to the Australian yacht and commercial marine markets for years. Production takes plat at Jotun’s Melbourne factory, with stock supported by more than 15 warehouses and distributors throughout Australia and New Zealand. The specialist top coat range is imported from Europe, ensuring the same high level of quality used today in the European market.
With the introduction of the complete range of purpose-built yachting products now in place, Jotun Australia’s marine team can now offer a complete, single source solution for the rapidly growing Australian yacht market as well as for visiting yachts from Europe that often head to South East Asia and Asia Pacific.
“The market is demanding and high expectations from customers requires that we are able to provide innovative solutions satisfying their need,” says Frank Brown, national marine sales manager for Jotun Australia.
“Now having a full range of products available for this market, we can build on the above waterline areas and offer best-in-class coatings for this rapidly growing market. We are ready to provide the very best of products and services to the fastest growing yachting market in the world.”
Jotun claims that its yacht product range has a reputation second-to-none in the US, Europe and the Middle East, with more than 30% of the largest 200 superyachts coated with Jotun’s products.
